Give PrEP A SHOT

Injectable PrEP Study

HPTN 083 tests a new injectable form of PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) called cabotegravir (CAB) and compares it with Truvada to see if CAB is as safe and effective at prevention HIV infection as Truvada.

The study also tests the safety and tolerability of both an oral & injectable form of CAB & seeks to answer the question: " How do people feel about injections versus taking a pill?" If you are accepted into the HPTN 083 study, you will receive study-related exams, lab tests & study medicine at no cost.
