About Us
For over 30 years, the East Bay Advanced Care (EBAC) at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center has been a recognized leader in providing critical and ancillary care services for low-income people living with HIV in Alameda County. Founded in 1987 as a freestanding program of the private non-profit Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, EBAC is dedicated to the care and treatment of people living with HIV and AIDS, and conducts a broad range of research and demonstration projects designed to better serve and care for these populations. With a combined patient population over 1500, including over 100 HIV+ young people between the ages of 14 and 29 - EBAC is the largest HIV primary care provider in the East Bay area, and provides a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, professional treatment and support services to all clients regardless of their income status, insurance, or ability to pay.
